Ordering Even though I probably have more years of programming shopping cart software then anybody else you'll ever meet, I don't have a shopping cart on this web site. Why? Because everything is hand-made to order, and I want to make sure I know exactly what you want before I start work. So, pelase email me your request to Dave at CorinthianLeatherworks.com, or call my toll-free voice mailbox at 888-659-4614 and leave a message with a return phone number and best time to call you back, and let's talk about what you want. One of these days, when I have so much time on my hands that I am starting to get bored, I'll write yet another shopping cart system, this one allowing infinite personalization requests. Then I'll spend the rest of my life writing a user's manual that nobody will read. Meanwhile, call or email me. Payment I prefer PayPal. I was one of the first people to integrate PayPal into a shopping cart system, and in the 11 years that I've been using them in thousands and thousands of transactions, I have yet to encounter a problem. You can PayPal payments to Dave at DaveMorris.com quite easily. But, preferably, I'll send you a PayPal invoice after we have discussed your order and agreed on a price, and you can PayPal from that. I also take Mastercard, Visa, American Express, but not via email, so let's talk on the phone if you want to order by credit card. And then, for those of you living in the boonies, who are not participating in the "global econonomy", I do take dollar bills, silver coins, and other currency backed by the full faith and credit of these United States of America. Please no Euros, as I have to drive out to the currency exchange at DFW airport and give up a substantial fee for exchanging them into greenbacks. Time To Ship Boy that's a tough one to answer on one page for all products. Generally I will try to indicate in the product description how long it will take from the time I receive the order until I ship the product. Some of the simpler items such as luggage tags can be made in one day and shipped out the next. Some handbags and larger, more complex items may require two or three days or even weeks. These items are all hand-made by me, sitting at a table, in between trying to make funny comments to emails and planning my next Mooney flying adventure. There is precious little that can be shipped the same day, because it just requires time to "case" leather, carve or stamp it, wait for it to dry, dye it, wait for that to dry, and assemble it, and get it out same day. If you have a real emergency, I might be able to trade you urgency for dollar bills, so try me! But I do spend a lot of my time flying around the country creating travel videos, so I am sometimes gone for a week or two, and that has to be taken into consideration. So, when we talk about your order, let's also talk about when you need it, and make sure I can meet your schedule. What this means for you is, plesae don't wait until the last minute if you have an anniversary, holiday, birthday, or special occasion coming up and want that one-of-a-kind gift. |
Shipping I currently prefer to ship things in a USPS flat-rate box. Some items can even be shipped in a padded envelope. If something needs to be expedited, I'd use FedEx. Warranty Items made from leather can be expected to last longer than you. I can absolutely guarantee it will outlast the computer you are reading this on. That's assuming you take reasonable care of the leather. If you leave it out in the rain, it's going to deteriorate faster, and I cannot help that. But in general, I would want to know immediately if something I made is not holding up under reasonable usage. I'm also assuming you understand that leather will age, sometimes becoming a little darker over time. Normally it makes the leather look even more awesome. Returns On items that are made to order, with your intitials, photo, or other personalized design, I cannot take returns. It would make all my labor be in vain, and I don't have enough vanity to spare, after I use it all on myself. If you bought something that is off-the-shelf, I would consider refunding your money, minus a 20% restocking fee. I read that in all the other companies' ordering policies, and it sounds good, so that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Standard Disclaimers Prices subject to change without notice. Most people don't know what that means, so here it is: I might have to increase my prices because I discover it's taking me longer to make a particular item than I thought when I priced it, and if so, I reserve the right to increase the price stated here on my web site without notifying everybody who has ever looked at this site. Of course it does not mean that I'll "pull a fast one" and charge you more for it after you have ordered it! Batteries rarely included. None of our leather is FAA certified (you're responsible for your own burn certificates). The pronoun "we", as used herein, is nosism. Care of Leather To help leather last a long time, keep it out of direct sunlight (which will darken it), keep it dry, and once a year coat it with a fine layer of Lexol brand Neatsfoot oil Leather Dressing - Non-darkening, available at any Tandy leather store. To help protect the environment, many of our products are dyed with a water-based dye. So if you put a liquid on it and rub it really good, the dye may come off on your rag. So don't do that. We put a water repellant top coating on the products, sometimes including wax, but that will only go so far in protecting against liquids.
